A place to experience life on the tundra with friendly Alaskan huskies! Join us on a guided summer tundra walk, or winter excursion on the edge of Denali National Park.

Welcome to Moon Dog Kennel

  • Alaskan Huskies run free through a colorful tundra landscape near Denali National Park

    Connect with your wild side

Located on the edge of Denali National Park and along the historic Stampede Trail, our hour-long tundra walk will take you off the trail and into the wild tundra landscape, where you'll be accompanied by a guide and group of free-running Alaskan huskies.

  • An alaskan husky and male guide wearing a plaid shirt walk together through the tundra

    Connect with the locals

The Alaskan huskies of Moon Dog Kennel are directly related to the sled dogs of Denali National Park, which has a 100+ year history of mushing. Your guides, Courtney and Brian, are long-time residents of the area and excited to welcome you into the life of a musher in Interior Alaska.

  • A group of people representing all ages and genders pet an Alaskan husky sled dog that was born in Denali National Park

    Connect with each other

Our Tundra Walks happen only one time per day and are limited to small groups. Our focus is on facilitating organic experiences that foster meaningful and lasting connections with the land, the dogs and most importantly, you!

To our future guests,

At Moon Dog Kennel, we're driven by our deep love of Alaskan wilderness, boundless companionship with our dogs and the inherent need to connect and share the Denali landscape with each and every one of you. Whether you join us for a summertime tundra walk with the dogs or a multi-day, winter expedition, mushing to our rustic cabin in the woods, we hope that you leave Denali feeling more connected to this place, our animals and to each other. We look forward to meeting you!

Happy trails and wagging tails,

- Brian and Courtney
